Menus
We are celebrating 30 years in business this year. Donal Kavanagh bought the pub from Pat Sheery in May 1977 & re named the pub "Donal Kavanaghs" The Dorset House. Donal Kavanagh died suddenly in March 1986 and the pub has been managed by Denis and his mother Maureen Kavanagh ever since.
A major redevelopment of the pub in 1991 saw the opening of the basement bar & function room and the name was changed to Kavanaghs The Temple We then started to serve hot food and this part of our business has grown ever since. Another face lift in 1998 saw our food business grow further and the start of our off sale wines and beers business.
The expansion of our business with the purchase of "Jim Beams Bar" in 2002 saw the business take another turn & again, the expansion of our food trade now with a full A La Carte menu. Our head Chef Patrick Mc Glinchy has brought our food business to a level we had never thought possible, Sunday dinners are the talk of the town.
